Connect Claude.ai and Claude Desktop

Add Lexill as a custom connector in Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, with one URL and no API key.

Claude.ai and Claude Desktop connect to Lexill through one remote MCP server. There's nothing to install, and no API key: you sign in to Lexill once, and Claude gets access to your account.

The connector URL

Every Claude app uses this URL:

https://lexill.com/mcp

Claude.ai

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Lexill, and paste this URL:
    https://lexill.com/mcp
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to Lexill if asked, and approve the access.

When it's connected, Lexill appears in the tools menu of every chat.

Claude Desktop

Claude Desktop shares connectors with Claude.ai. If you added Lexill on Claude.ai with the same Claude account, it's already there. Otherwise, add it in the app:

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Lexill, and paste this URL:
    https://lexill.com/mcp
  3. Choose Connect, sign in to Lexill if asked, and approve the access.

Check it works

Ask Claude: "Using Lexill, list my collections." It should list your sandbox. Then draft your first page.
